About Gender School

Within Gender School, our aim is to benefit from old and new experiences in new combinations so as to achieve developments within the gender equality process at work.

The concept of the project is based on processing methods that lead to influencing attitudes and ways of working so that gender-equality aspects become integrated in day-to-day work.

Our objective is to achieve changes at a structural level. The overall goal is to spread knowledge of gender segregation, which in turn is intended to lead to gender-equality issues becoming everyone's concern at their workplace – and not just a question of women and the adaptation of women to male structures.

Strategic investments and measures
Gender School’s gender-equality measures are performed within a number of selected areas within working life that we perceive as being strategic, such as recruitment, career development, women entrepreneurs/managers with dysfunctions, the significance of leadership in gender-equality work, the role of women's organisations in the process of changing the gender-segregated labour market, as well as gender from a trade-union perspective.

Day-to-day use in working life
The ultimate result will be a method that we call the Gender School, which assembles knowledge for day-to-day use in working life. Through cooperation, we endeavour to produce practical tools that can be used at workplaces so as to avoid, as far as possible, discrimination and the exclusion of certain groups.

Our goal is to spread knowledge and for women and men to become aware of discrimination due to gender that still prevails at work. Carefully prepared strategies are required that everyone can use in the process against gender-discrimination. Practical tools and methods that support this way of working will be presented.
